Seattle/Puget Sound, Field/Office or Project Engineer

Location: Seattle/Puget Sound

Kuney is seeking qualified Field, Office and Project Engineers for Seattle/Puget Sound area.

Entry level applicants are encouraged to apply for entry level positions. Experienced professionals are also encouraged to apply to join the team as a Project Engineer. Positions are ideally suited for professionals seeking a career in Project Management, who want to be located in the Northwest, taking on challenging heavy civil projects.

This position is specifically located in the Bellevue/Redmond, WA area. Kuney is seeking candidates that want to join this project, and then have a career with the Company on future projects.

Civil Engineering, Construction Management or similar degree required.

Essential skills include:

Office Engineer

Location: Spokane, WA

Kuney is accepting applications for an Office Engineer position, working out of the main office in Spokane. Entry Level applicants are encouraged to apply as are experienced professionals. Similar to the Field and Project Engineer positions, the Office Engineer position is ideally suited for Entry Level professionals seeking a career in Project Management, who want to be located in the Northwest, taking on challenging heavy civil projects. The Office Engineer works out of the main office supporting the Project Managers with design, submittals and other duties as assigned, and the Estimating team in the pursuit of new projects.

Civil Engineering or similar degree required.

Field or Project Engineer

Location: Seattle area &/or Spokane area

Kuney is accepting applications for Field and Project Engineer positions. Entry level applicants are encouraged to apply for entry level positions. Experienced professionals are also encouraged to apply to join the team as a Project Engineer. Positions are ideally suited for young professionals seeking a career in Project Management, who want to be located in the Northwest, taking on challenging heavy civil projects. Position may be located on the project site, or in the main office in Spokane depending on the applicant.

Bridge or Marine Superintendent

Location: Northwest

The Superintendent works at the project location for the duration of the project, reports to and works with the Project Manager. The Superintendent directs all the field construction activities and is responsible for coordinating the efforts of all direct-hire job personnel and subcontractors.

Based on experience and qualifications, applicants may be considered for a Key Foreman Position that reports to the Superintendent. The Key Foreman position offers opportunities for advancement into the Superintendent position.

Position requires moving to the project location for the duration of the project (typically one or more years, project locations typically throughout Washington, Northern Idaho and Northern Oregon).

Intern: Summer 2023

Possible Locations: Bellevue, Tacoma, or Spokane area

Summer interns will have the opportunity to work on the job site alongside the Field Engineer and Superintendent, helping to advance one of Kuney's heavy civil projects.

Position is ideally suited for students nearing completion of a Civil Engineering, Construction Management or similar degree, and considering a career in heavy civil construction.

Union Carpenter



Max J Kuney Co. has an immediate need for Union Carpenters with experience working on Highways/Bridges/Dam's. We are willing to train the right person for the job. This posting is for our in Spokane WA. Kuney Construction also have positions available in Seattle. Max J Kuney Co. encourages female and minority applicants to apply.


Qualifications: Member of the Pacific Northwest Region Counsel of Carpenters or willing to become one. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job: The position lifts heavy objects, walks and stands for long periods of time and performs strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions. The employee lifts, pushes, pulls or carries objects; uses abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue; and effectively jumps, sprints or throws objects. The position requires good manual dexterity and multilimbed coordination. The position requires the ability to quickly move arms and legs. The employee must have excellent stamina.
