SR9 Marsh Road to 2nd St Widening & Painting

Project Details

SR9 Marsh road includes the construction of 1.6 miles of new southbound lanes on Highway 9 in Snohomish, WA. This will include the construction of two new bridges measuring 400’ and 1,200’ in length, including 96ea driven steel pile, 4ea 10’ diameter shafts, 77ea voided slab girders, 36ea steel girders & over 70,000SF of new concrete deck. The project will also be completing all of the embankment, paving, maintenance of traffic, electrical & landscaping to support the new alignment, as well as restoring the steel and painting the existing steel structure over the Snohomish River.

This project started in September of 2025 and is scheduled to be complete in 2028 with the goal of reducing congestion where Highway 9 currently reduces from four lanes to two lanes.
