R200 DOWNTOWN REDMOND LINK EXTENSION

The Downtown Redmond Link Extension adds two new light rail stations in 2024 in southeast Redmond.

Project Details

Sound Transit, a US public transit agency serving the Seattle metropolitan area, has selected a joint venture (JV) comprising Stacy and Witbeck and construction company Kuney to build the Downtown Redmond Link Extension.

The $729.27m contract includes the design and construction of a 3.4mile-long stretch, which extends the Blue Line from the Redmond Technology Station to Downtown Redmond.

The scope of the contract also includes the delivery of a 1,400-space parking garage, the overhead catenary system, traction power substations, train control and communications, special trackwork and other associated utilities, street and trail improvements.
